Maryna Khromykh is the new executive director of the DEJURE Foundation

As a result of an open competition in which 28 applicants took part, and according to the decision of the Supervisory Board of the DEJURE Foundation, human rights activist Maryna Khromykh became the new executive director of DEJURE. She will replace Iryna Shyba, who has headed DEJURE for the past five years.

Maryna has 15 years of experience in project management, human rights and GR. She graduated from the Faculty of Political Science of Rivne State University of Humanities and the Ukrainian School of Political Studies. In 2019, she was a speaker at the TEDxWomen Kyiv. Prior to the DEJURE Foundation, she held the position of Advocacy and Communication Manager of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, as well as worked in the UNICEF program “Community friendly to children and youth”. Maryna is an expert of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and a participant in the human rights initiative “Who Is Behind the Murder of Katia Handziuk?”.
