The application process for the HQCJ member position concludes

The submission period for applications for the position of a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges (HQCJ) under the judges’ quota has concluded.

A list of candidates is available here.

Next, the Selection Commission will review and analyse the candidates’ documents to determine their eligibility for the next stage of interviews. There are several commendable candidates who could assume the role in the HQCJ.

However, some candidates have raised significant concerns:

Judge Halamay has been found to fill out declarations dishonestly, either significantly undervaluing or not declaring the value of her property at all.

Judge Oksiuta, despite his dubious judicial decisions, has been re-elected three times as the Deputy Head of the Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv and similarly undervalued his property in declarations.

It is worth noting that the position of a member of the HQCJ under the judges’ quota became vacant after the former head of the HQCJ, Roman Ihnatov, resigned voluntarily.

We will continue to closely monitor the selection process. We hope that the competition will be fair and transparent and that the Selection Commission will select candidates who truly deserve the position in the HQCJ.
