Tomorrow, Pavlo Vovk will undergo the assessment at the HQJC, with a record-breaking negative opinion of 180 pages

Despite the fact that the law on the liquidation of the DACK was adopted more than a year ago, Pavlo Vovk and other judges of this court still “have not left the game” and have retained their positions. And therefore, they continue to “emerge” on the agendas.

Back in 2017, Pavlo Vovk applied for a competition to the Supreme Court, and tomorrow, the HQCJ will decide whether he is suitable for the position of judge of the Administrative Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court.

Notably, Pavlo Vovk’s assessment tomorrow is only within the framework of the competition for the Administrative Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court, and therefore, it will not be possible to dismiss him after this interview. Suppose Vovk is recognised as suitable for the position of a judge of the Administrative Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court. In that case, he will not need to pass the “classical” qualification assessment. If the decision is negative, the HCJ will remove him from the administration of justice and send him to the qualification assessment to confirm his suitability for the position. The decision that the High Qualification Commission of Judges will make regarding judge Vovk with a 180-page negative opinion of the Public Integrity Council will be indicative.
