The High Council of Justice initiated 4 disciplinary cases against Vovk and Ablov

The High Council of Justice (HCJ) has finally initiated four disciplinary cases against the District Administrative Court of Kyiv (DACK) judges: three against the notorious head of the DACK Pavlo Vovk, and one against Yevheniy Ablov. All complaints are based on well-known National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) tape recordings and are severe enough to result in the judges’ dismissal.  Kandziuba and Plakhtiy are the reporting members of the HCJ in these cases.

The law on the liquidation of the DACK was adopted in December 2022. Still, all judges of the so-called “Vovk’s court,” including its head, have not yet undergone qualification assessment, have not been held responsible, yet benefit from judicial guarantees and remuneration. Therefore, it is crucial for the HCJ not to delay these proceedings and finally fulfil the expectations of the public.
