The Presidential commission announces competition for two HCJ member positions
The Selection Commission responsible for selecting candidates for the High Council of Justice (HCJ) has announced a competition to fill two vacant positions for HCJ members under the President’s quota.
The application period is open until December 10, 2024 (inclusive). Further details can be found here.
Since April 2023, President Zelensky has yet to appoint new HCJ members from the list of candidates recommended by the Ethics Council. Now, the Commission has announced a new competition to fill these two vacant positions. Additionally, there are two more vacancies under the quota of the Congress of Attorneys. We hope this time, the High Council of Justice will finally be reinforced with decent new members.
Only highly professional individuals with impeccable reputations can restore public trust in the HCJ and help cleanse the judiciary of entrenched corruption, nepotism, and collusion. Therefore, we encourage all qualified candidates to apply. Stay tuned for updates!
