AGE Assesses the Moral Qualities of Constitutional Court Candidates
On January 28, the Advisory Group of Experts (AGE) concluded the stage of evaluating the moral qualities of candidates for the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (CCU) under the President’s quota (3 vacant positions) and the Verkhovna Rada’s quota (2 vacant positions). As of January 27, three judges have stepped down, leaving 11 filled seats in the CCU. The court remains functional only when at least 12 judges are in office.
Based on AGE’s decision, the following candidates meet the criteria for moral integrity:
• Yurii Barabash, Oleksandr Vodiannikov, Nataliia Denysenko, Anatolii Yezhov, Vladyslav Ivashchenko, Oleksandr Konstanti, Kostiantyn Krasovskyi, Yuliia Kyrychenko, Oksana Klymenko, Oleksandr Medvedenko, Ivan Nazarov, Tetiana Opanasiuk, Mykhailo Savchyn, Alla Sanduliak, Oksana Soldatenko, Oksana Tretiakova, Zakhar Tropin, Taras Tsymbalistyi.
The following candidates do not meet the moral integrity criteria:
• Olha Balatska, Roman Holobutovskyi, Mykola Hrabar, Denys Hrytsenko, Serhii Dovhal, Nataliia Kaminska, Oleksandr Kopylenko, Anatolii Melnychuk, Ruslan Milovanov, Olha Morozova, Svitlana Reznikova, Artem Rubanets, Oleksandr Tkachenko, Olena Fitsai, Ihor Yarchak.
The next stage, a written competency assessment, is scheduled for February 8.
