Research Summary. Selection of the Constitutional Court Judges with the Participation of the Advisory Group of Experts
The introduction of the Advisory Group of Experts marked an important step toward a more independent and higher-quality selection of Constitutional Court of Ukraine judges. However, the first rounds of competitions revealed a number of procedural and institutional shortcomings — from legislative constraints that block competitions from proceeding to delays in appointments by appointing bodies. In this research, DEJURE analyzes how the updated procedure works in practice, identifies its key weaknesses, and proposes recommendations aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the procedure.
