First step towards establishing the Service of Disciplinary Inspectors of the High Council of Justice

Today, on September 10, the Selection Commission officially announced the results of the competition for the Service of Disciplinary Inspectors (SDI) of the High Council of Justice (HCJ). This news was reported by AutoMaidan, which actively monitored and analyzed the selection process. The list of 24 SDI members will now be submitted to the HCJ for approval.

The competition for the position of SDI head is still ongoing, but candidate Viktoria Nedybaliuk — a former assistant to a judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court — has already been selected for the deputy position.

DEJURE Foundation reminds that the SDI is an independent body within the HCJ that will address the “backlog” of disciplinary complaints and expedite their consideration. The corresponding law on the creation of the SDI was adopted back in September 2023.

DEJURE congratulates the HCJ on this first step in forming the Disciplinary Inspectorate, confident that its work will contribute to more efficient handling of complaints against judges.
