SAPO says that Oleksiy Salnikov, head of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, was inciting illegal benefits to Supreme Court judges for ruling in favour of a commercial enterprise.
The High Council of Justice keeps on helping judges who should be punished. Today, the HCJ dismissed Hanna Karnasevych, judge of the Sambir district court of Lviv region, and Yuriy Kovbasa, judge of the Vinnytsia court.
During today’s meeting, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) supported the second vetting of judges of the Supreme Court.
According to the European Commission, Ukraine has made “good progress” regarding the reform of the Constitutional Court. Nevertheless, the European Union suggests that Ukraine should prioritise amending the procedure for appointing judges of the Constitutional Court, aligning it with the recommendations put forth by the Venice Commission, and initiate the selection process accordingly.

Yesterday, the newly established High Qualification Commission of Judges (HQCJ) elected Roman Ihnatov, a Kyiv Court of Appeal judge, as its Head.
A total of 108 Supreme Court judges voted in favor of electing Stanislav Kravchenko, who serves as the Head of the Criminal Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court, as the President of the Supreme Court.
